Driver arrested for allegedly careening into emergency room tent

Chula Vista Police Department Photo courtesy Chula Vista Police Department At least one person was injured when a man drove a sedan into a diagnostic tent at Sharp Chula Vista Medicinal Center last week The driver of the Honda sedan who was identified as a -year old man from San Diego was arrested at the scene of the July case on suspicion of driving under the influence He was transported to a local trauma center after suffering injuries as a development of the collision The bus first hit a gurney located behind an ambulance injuring a medic nearby who was then transported to a a trauma center with potentially serious injuries according to a release from the Chula Vista Police Department The bus then continued through the parking lot into a chain-link fence which it pushed as it drove into the physiological triage tent mentioned the comment Three people inside the tent also reportedly suffered minor injuries as a end of the occurrence Police say they do not believe it was an intentional act the review is ongoing
