Registrar sends out information cards for Nov. 4 special election on redistricting

Voters cast their ballots early at the San Diego County Registrar of Voters File photo by Chris Stone Times of San Diego More than two million postcards have been mailed to San Diego County registered voters listing their options for the Nov special electoral process according to the Registrar of Voters When registered voters receive a ballot in the mail they will have three options for returning their ballot By postage-paid mail In one of the Registrar s official ballot drop boxes or at any San Diego County vote center Voters can expect to receive their special voting process ballot the week of Oct giving them almost a month to mark and return it by the final day of voting on Nov Voters throughout California will decide whether to adopt Proposition an amendment to the state Constitution related to redistricting Poway voters in that city s District will be voting on whether to recall Council Member Tony Blain from office Only voters living in Council District are eligible to vote on the issue Blain has faced assertions of vote trading threatening recalls against colleagues and attempting to use law enforcement to silence critics He is being investigated by the San Diego County District Attorney s Office Early voting will begin Oct at the Registrar of Voters office in Kearny Mesa at Overland Ave The Registrar s office will be open from a m to p m Monday through Friday Select voting centers located throughout the county will be open daily from a m to p m beginning Oct Locations and hours of operation can be uncovered at sdvote com or by calling - - or toll free at - -
